MEET OUR TEAM

Dr. Steliotes received his undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton of Ohio in 1987. It was here where he showed his first leadership skills as President of the student body. Dr. Steliotes received his Dental degree at the highly acclaimed University of Pittsburgh Dental School in 1991. His interests in advancements in the field of dentistry paid off for him as a regional winner in a research competition that led him to show his project “the effects of 3D imagining in the use of maxillo-facial surgery” at the National competition in Hawaii. UCLA in Beverly Hills, CA gave him the solidifying education he was looking for where he worked with medically compromised patients along with studying advanced cosmetic dentistry in a residency for 12 months. It was here at UCLA he learned the importance of the blend of speed, precision and artistry that sets the foundation for a happy healthy patient. In the 20 years to follow, Dr. Steliotes slowly and steadily grew his own dental practice back at home in Pittsburgh Pa. It was during this time that Dr. Steliotes worked for multiple offices while focusing on his own, pulling knowledge from other Doctors, office managers, and staff to create a unique office that blends the look and feel of a day spa with the internal workings of a million dollar corporation.

Dr. Ted has been the official dentist for the contestants of the Miss and Teen USA Pageants for the last 20 yrs.

In Dr. Ted’s free time he enjoys spending time with the love of his life, his son Leonidas. They go on many imaginary adventures, playing pirates, slaying dragons and being super heroes, saving the world.

Another one of Dr. Steliotes’ passions include writing children’s books, which he’s written and published 6 books. A portion of the proceeds from his books are donated to The Smile Train. Smile Train provides free cleft palate repair surgeries to those in need while helping train local doctors. This makes it possible for a child born with a cleft palate to eat, breathe, speak properly and smile

 Hi! I am Smudge. I am the original office therapy dog! Numerous studies have investigated the benefits of therapy dogs on people’s mental and physical health. Therapy pets help calm patients and may reduce anxiety in children and adults with dental phobias, and that is just what I am here to do for you! So please do not hesitate to ask to see me when you come in!

Hi! My name is Lorraine and I am a registered dental hygienist as well as the office manager at Steliotes Dental Spa. I received my dental hygiene degree at West Liberty State College in 1974. I have worked at Steliotes Dental Spa since it opened in September 1999. As of 2021, I am semi-retired. I have always loved being a dental hygienist and I enjoy meeting new patients as well as taking care of the patients that have been part of my dental family for 47+ years. I enjoy working at Steliotes Dental Spa because we have the best staff, we work hard, take good care of our patients, and still manage to have fun! When I am not here, I enjoy boating and motorcycle riding with my husband, Eddie.

Hi! I’m Amanda, but feel free to call me Mandi. I am from and still live in the Wheeling Area. I am a registered dental hygienist and graduated from West Liberty State College in 2006. My favorite part of being a hygienist is getting to know my patients, while giving the best treatment possible. I have worked at Steliotes Dental Spa since 2013 and can honestly say this office is truly one of a kind. We strive to make each patient feel special, comfortable and relaxed. The atmosphere here makes for an amazing place to call work and also a friendly and relaxed place for our patients to visit.

When not working, I love just being a mom and spending time with my husband and our family. I enjoy sitting by the pool, having bonfires in the summer, going to dinner with friends, online shopping and cheering my favorite football teams – The WV Mountaineers and the Steelers.

Hi, my name is Karen and I am an EFDA (Expanded function dental assistant) at Steliotes Dental Spa. I joined the team in November 2020. I have been in the dental field for 30 years and am originally from WV. I have lived here in PA for 6 years. I can honestly say that with all of my years in dentistry, no office compares to ours. I love our office and team and am proud to work at an office with our level of excellence. I am a mom of 4 adult children, have 3 grandchildren and when I am not doing Dentistry you can find me watching Penguins Hockey, knitting or playing with my grandchildren. 

 Hi! My name is Jessica. I have been a dental admin for 14+ years. You will meet me after your appointment. I do insurance and treatment coordinating here at Steliotes Dental Spa. I love meeting new people and helping you understand your insurance benefits. When I'm not in the office, Will and I love spending time with our boys Devin (18) and Jaxson (1). We enjoy traveling, camping and spending time with friends and family. I also love watching football on Sundays, Go Steelers!

Hi. I'm Brittany. I am the first smiling face you will see when you walk through Steliotes Dental Spa. From start to finish, we want to cater to your needs and make you feel beautiful. I also love handling marketing and interacting with our patients via social media. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking with my dog, Rogue, and kayaking. 

 Dr. Sassouni has had an orthodontics practice in the South Hills of Pittsburgh for over 20 years. Her reputation as an attentive and skilled professional is based on her family tradition of scientific analysis of facial structure and the proven results this analysis has delivered for generations. Her practice has a personal character designed to make you feel comfortable.

The office welcomes patients of all ages. We have an established history of treating children, adolescents and adults. The American Association of Orthodontics recommends an evaluation by the age of seven for a child’s first visit to the orthodontist. Dr. Anouk L. Sassouni is a third-generation female dentist carrying on the family tradition of dentistry and orthodontics in her Dormont practice.

Dr. Sassouni received her dental degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1982. She received her Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1985.

Dr. Sassouni is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the Western PA Society of Orthodontics and the Great Lakes Society of Orthodontics. She is also a former member of the Cleft Palate Association. She lectures to students and oral surgeons on the use of the Sassouni Analysis in treatment planning.

Hello, my name is Tammy, I have been on staff with Steliotes Dental Spa since 2012. I work part time with Dr. Sassouni and the orthodontic team. I attended Belmont College and Graduated in 1992.  In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family. I love to take walks in the park and hiking in the mountains. I enjoy the fall season because temperatures are comfortable and the colors are beautiful. I love watching football on Sundays. My Husband and my kids are my life!

My name is Terri, I live in Davidson, North Carolina. I am semi-retired, I work at home through the office software. I call patients that are due for their cleanings. I have worked for Dr. Steliotes since 1998. What I enjoy most about my job is being able to stay in touch with the patients that I have known throughout the years.

When not working, my husband, Bud, and I are boating, traveling or spending wonderful time with our four beautiful grandchildren.
